Amazon Web Services Cloud Computing Education

In collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), the Arizona Commerce Authority is increasing access to cloud computing education in schools across the state. Arizona schools now have the opportunity to implement AWS Academy and AWS Educate programs, integrating cloud computing education into Arizona classrooms.

 

AWS programs and certifications prepare diverse learners for in-demand, entry-level cloud roles in Arizona and around the world. With hands-on experience in the AWS Cloud, graduates have the skills and knowledge they need to add value on the job.

MAY 18, 2021 | 12 P.M.ARIZONA VIRTUAL AWS JOB FAIR

Graduates of the AWS Academy and AWS Educate programs are invited to a virtual job fair on May 18, 2021 at 12 p.m. Job seekers who have earned their AWS credentials have the opportunity to meet with Arizona employers hiring for in-demand cloud careers in a variety of technical and business roles. Employers in turn have the chance to connect with job seekers who have hands-on experience in the AWS Cloud.

Employers and job seekers will be asked to complete a profile questionnaire upon registration. Career coaches will match candidates and employers based on relevant skills.

The job fair is hosted by Arizona Commerce Authority, Arizona Technology Council, PipelineAZ, Arizona State University, and Maricopa County Community Colleges in collaboration with Amazon Web Services.

AWS Academy

AWS Academy bridges the gap between industry and education. This no-cost, ready-to-teach cloud computing curriculum for Arizona education institutions prepares students to pursue industry-recognized certifications and in-demand cloud jobs.

Educators

AWS Academy helps educators stay at the forefront of AWS Cloud innovation so they can equip students with the skills they need to get hired in one of the fastest-growing industries. With free training and support from AWS, educators at member institutions can earn AWS Certification, access no-cost project environments for virtual, blended, or in-person learning, and deliver material directly to students.

AWS Educate provides individuals with online, self-paced cloud learning resources at no cost. Get introduced to the cloud computing technologies that drive innovation in fields such as artificial intelligence, voice and facial recognition, gaming, medicine, and much more.

Students

For job seekers with existing technical skills, there are self-paced learning options available from AWS to anyone who wants to learn about AWS technologies. Self-paced options are entirely online without in-person instructor support and do not include access to discounted certification exams offered through the AWS education programs.
