Photocentric, Leading Edge UK Additive Manufacturer, to Locate US Headquarters in Avondale, AZ

AVONDALE, ARIZONA (April 27, 2021) — Photocentric, Inc., an industry leader and pioneer in the development of photopolymers and additive manufacturing, will move its US-based headquarters to Avondale, Arizona.

Founded in 2002 in the United Kingdom, Photocentric has been at the cutting edge of innovation in photopolymer, manufacturing a wide variety of materials that harden in light. From 3D printing to craft and office stamps, the company’s technologies and innovative tooling have supported a broad range of applications.

The company will move from its current location in Phoenix with plans to more than double its space when it opens in Avondale in the fall of 2021. Photocentric is in a rapid growth phase, expecting to create dozens of new jobs in their recently leased 50,000 square-foot facility in the Avondale 107th Industrial Park, located at 855 N. 107th Avenue.

“Arizona is proud to be the location of Photocentric’s new headquarters, as well as the home of their latest high-tech expansion,” said Governor Doug Ducey. “Photocentric’s selection of Avondale demonstrates our state’s premier attractiveness for innovation and manufacturing, and we look forward to partnering in their success for years to come.”

“At our core, Photocentric is a technology and innovation company. We’re thrilled to move our US-based operations to Avondale and add to the high-tech industry cluster growth in the area,” said Photocentric Chief Operating Officer Leea Haarz. “The high caliber of available talent and great partnership with the City of Avondale’s Economic Development team have made this decision easy, and will ensure future success.”

“Avondale is fast becoming one of the Valley’s most desirable locations for high-tech companies that want to take advantage of our competitively priced real estate options and proximity to major transportation corridors and skilled labor force,” said Kenneth Chapa, Economic Development Director at the City of Avondale. “Photocentric is a leader in 3-D manufacturing, and we are excited to welcome them to our community.”

The new Avondale location will allow Photocentric to grow its innovation and additive manufacturing processes. The company plans to vertically integrate the entire photopolymer process in the United States from manufacturing to distribution.

“Avondale continues to attract manufacturing that is leading the way in innovation,” said Avondale Mayor Kenn Weise. “We have a skilled labor force ready to get to work, and we are excited for the quality jobs that Photocentric will provide for the community.”

“Photocentric’s industry-leading technology is a welcome addition to Arizona’s innovation ecosystem and will create new high-value jobs for our residents,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “We thank the entire team at Photocentric for selecting Arizona as the home of your corporate headquarters and manufacturing operation.”

Strategically located with frontage on Interstate 10 and less than a mile from State Loop 101, Avondale offers an ideal business location. The community’s pro-business environment, low cost of living and unique amenities set it apart from its peers. Investors are adding over 3 million square feet of new and planned industrial development so expanding businesses can capitalize on the young and skilled workforce.
